Teaching is not an imposition of the teacher’s will over that of the pupil, not at all. Teaching starts with freedom and ends with freedom
— Vanda Scaravelli - Awakening the Spine

My philosophy on teaching is quite simply, "Find a way for every BODY".  As a teacher in the Iyengar tradition, I have been trained to understand the human body and the asanas in such depth that I can make each pose accessible to every student - no matter their level of experience.  And this delights me.  I like to think that each time a student comes to class, I am expanding their asana toolbox; finding a way for them to access the pose with the greatest of ease.

The practice of Iyengar yoga is not linear nor formulaic and therefore requires the student's interest and curiosity to evolve and transform. The teacher can be a conduit for this process.  My students come to know how to do a particular pose for their body at that particular moment in time - always knowing that change is inevitable.
